How do I use IBackup?
IBackup provides many ways to access, store and share your data using downloadable applications such as IBDrive, IBDrive Plus and IBackup for Windows and browser based applications QManager and Smart IB.
IBDrive, IBDrive Plus
Users can map their IBackup account as a network drive using these windows download applications. They instantly enable any desktop application to work directly on the files stored on IBackup account. Users can drag and drop, edit, run applications using the data stored on IBackup accounts. With IBDrive Plus, you can even net enable office applications and extend the concept of Network Attached Storage to the Internet.
IBackup for Windows
Users can download this program to schedule unattended transfers at pre-specified times and with options to transfer only the modified files and compress data.
QManager
HTTP based, works behind firewalls and proxy servers, but does not allow folder level operations for uploads and downloads. This is the preferred option if you need to work with only a few files, and especially if you need to 'share' the files and folders with others . There are image viewing features.
Smart IB
Allows folder level operations for backup/retrieval. This option is FTP and Java based, works behind firewalls, but some proxy server users may face difficulty as FTP may not be allowed through proxy servers. This is the preferred option is you need to work with several files and folders for backup or retrieval using a standard browser. Also allows for incremental and compression options.
FTP / WebDav
IBackup is WEBDAV / FTP ready, users can use their favorite WEBDAV or FTP clients to access their IBackup account in various ways including mapping as a network drive, drag and drop, schedule transfers and more, and on almost all major platforms
Wireless access
Users can now view and share their IBackup files from their Palm VII™ PDA or a WAP enabled wireless phone!
